Hello, readers as we all know that India is a land of sacrifices where so many freedom fighters sacrifice their lives for the freedom of the country. Freedom fighters sacrifice their family, their lifestyle and so many things only for freedom. Today we live in a democratic country because of these freedom fighters of India only. We take breathe in the open air because of them only.
Today, there are only a few freedom fighters whom we remember and they are people who actually change the course of history because of their contribution. As we know that people from every corner of the country participated in the struggle for ousting the British from India. Many of them sacrificed their lives to free India from the tyrannical rule of the British
Before the Independence on 15th August 1947, there are so much violence, wars, and movements done by thousands of spirited Indian freedom fighters. All these freedom fighters of India struggled fought and even sacrificed their lives in an effort to free India from British rule. India starts its movement of freedom to free India from British Rules. Many men and women participate in the freedom fighting movement of India.
From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Assam to Gujarat, thousands of men and women fought together against the atrocities of the British Raj. So, in this blog, we introduced you our freedom fighters of India who had a fight for we and sacrifice their life. But before we know about freedom fighters of India firstly we know when freedom movements start in India
The Freedom Movement Starts In India
In 1857, the Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs had one target that throws out the Britishers from India. The revolt started by the British starts from 10th May 1857 to 20th June 1858. So that within one year the revolt is under control. The British company and the East India Company spread all over states of India, for example – Delhi, Agra, Kanpur, and Lucknow. The first freedom struggle starts with a Dandi March organizes by Bapu, Mahatma Gandhi. On 15th August 1947, we got freedom against Britishers. It was a special day for all the Indians and the country because we get freedom on this day. We got this achievement because our freedom fighters sacrifice their life and we salute them for their Braviour.

Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi, is a man who borns to fight for his country, Mahatma Gandhi borns on October 2, 1869, in Porbandar, India. He is one of the freedom fighters who stand against the Britishers in the 1900s. Mahatma Gandhi was a very helpful person so that he got a nickname from the people Bapu. Bapu believes in the Non-Violent independence movement. In 1893 Mahatma Gandhi goes to South Africa against British rule for the civil right of Indians. Bapu’s real name is Mohan Das Karam Chandra Gandhi. Sri Rabindranath Tagore gave the name Mahatma to Gandhi so that he called as Mahatma Gandhi.
Mahatma Gandhi’s main message was the truth and nonviolence. However, Mahatma Gandhi not only fights for the country but also help others like poor people. The Bapu was an inspiration for everyone. He fights against injustice and sacrifices their life for the country. Unfortunately, Mahatma Gandhi is no longer between us. He dies at the age of 93 in the Sakhrej area of Ahmedabad shot by Nathu Ram Godse.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India. He is one of those people who contribute to India’s freedom and his slogan for freedom is INQILAB ZINDABAD, DO Or DIE, DILLI CHALO. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was born on 14 November 1889, in the city Prayagraj. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru rules for 18 years as prime minister of India. He established a parliamentary government and was a prime minister of India from 1947-1964.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is the greatest statesman of modern India. Father and Mother name of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is Motilal Nehru and Swarup Rani Nehru. He dies on 27th May 1964 at Teen Murti Bhavan, New Delhi at the age of 72 and he is one of the longest-ruling prime ministers of India.
Subhash Chandra Bose

Subhash Chandra Bose was a freedom fighter of India and he was also the president of the Indian National Congress from 1938 – 1939. Subash Chandra bose is also known as Netaji. He tries to control Britishers in world War II. Netaji completed his education at the University of Cambridge, he completed his BA in philosophy. He got the first rank in class in 1918. He was born in Orissa in 1897, Cuttack. Subhash Chandra Bose was brilliant in studies and always got the first rank in his school and university. His Father and Mother’s name is Jankinath Bose and Prabhabhati Bose. The slogan of Subash Chandra Bose is ‘You give me blood and I give you freedom’. The political guru of Subash Chandra Bose is Chittranjan Das. He works under Chittranjan Das.
Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is also famous as Sardar Patel. He was born on 31st October 1875, Nadiad, and Sardar vallabhbhai Patel was a former Deputy Prime Minister of India. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel plays a leading role in the struggle for Independence for an independent nation and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was also a member of the Indian National Congress.
The word Sardar stands for Chief In Hindi words and has been a Home minister of the Indian political region. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was also famous as the Iron Man of India. He got an award called Bharat Ratna which is the Greatest honor for every person. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is also an Architect for our Modern India there are many things we learn from Sardar vallabhbhai Patel was:-

Bhagat Singh

Bhagat Singh was born on 28th September 1907, Banga, Pakistan. He was an Indian social reformist and a man who sacrifice their life for this land and for this country. Bhagat Singh in our image was a hero because he inspired everyone who joined this freedom movement to fight and throw out the Britishers. Bhagat singh is from the state of Punjab, India
He is also known as Shaheed Bhagat singh because they sacrifice their own life for us. Bhagat singh father’s name is Sardar Kishan Singh Sandhu and his mother’s name is Vidyavati. Bhagat singh got their education from DAV College Managing Director (1916-1917). Unfortunately, this brave man dies on 23rd March 1931. Bhagat singh has been hanged in Lahore central jail for killing a British officer and after he dies he was called Shaheed Bhagat singh.
Lal Bahadur Shashtri
Lal Bahadur Shashtri was born on 2nd October 1904 in Mughalsarai. He was an Indian statesman who served as a second Prime Minister and also he is a member of the Indian National Congress. Lal Bahadur Shashtri also started a national campaign to increase the production and supply of milk and he also helps to increase food grain production which is especially in Punjab.
Lal Bahadur Shashtri completed his education in Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith Harish Chandra Post Graduate College, which was established in 1860 and the founder of this college is Bhartendu Harishchandra. Unfortunately, Lal Bahadur Shashtri has no longer between us and he died on 11th January 1966 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He died at the age of 61.
Tatya Tope
Tatya Tope is the general of the Indian Revolter against the Britishers in 1857. He was born in 1814 in Yeola which is situated in the district of Nashik. Tatya Tope is also known as Tantiya Tope. The full name of Tatya Tope is Ramchandra Panduranga Tope.
Tatya Tope started an Indian rebellion movement against the Britishers in 1857. He is one of the most notable freedom fighters of India and in the memory of Tatya Tope memorial park, Shivpuri, MP (MADHYA PRADESH). Father of Tatya Tope is Panduranga Rao and his mother is Rukhmabai. Unfortunately, Tatya Tope was hanged by Britishers because he started a war against the East India Company. He was died on April 18th in Shivpuri by the Britishers.
Mangal Pandey
Mangal Pandey was an Indian soldier who contributes to the Independence of India. He was born on 19 July 1827 in Nagwa, Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. He is also known as Sepoy Mutiny. Mangal Pandey is one of the Indian revolters in 1857. Mangal Pandey was also the 34th regiment soldier or Sepoy of the East India Company which established by the Britishers. The father of the Mangal Pandey is Diwakar Pandey and the mother name is Abahirani Pandey. Mangal Pandey hang by the Britishers on 8th April 1857 in Barrackpore. He died at the age of 30.
Rani LaxmiBai
Rani Laxmi Bai was the Rani of Jhansi. She was the Maratha princely of the Indian state of Jhansi from 1843 to 1853. Rani Laxmi Bai is also known as Jhansi ki Rani. She was the wife of Maharaja Gangadhar Rao. In 1857 she was one of the leaders of the Indian rebellion. She was born on 19th November 1828 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The real name of Rani Laxmi Bai is Manikarnika Tambe. The Father of Rani Laxmi Bai is Moropant Tambe and her Mother’s name is Bhagirathi Sapre. She is remembered forever as an Indian mutiny in 1857, She died on 18th June 1858. She died at the age of 29 in the Indian state of Gwalior, Uttar Pradesh, she died due to injuries against British forces.
Vinayak Damodar Savarkar
Vinayak Damodar Savarkar is an Indian politician, he was an Indian activist and writer. He was born on 29 May 1883 in Bhagur, Nashik, Maharashtra. He completed his education at the city law school, established in 1852. Vinayak Damodar Savarkar has started an Independence movement in Hindu Mahasabha and he supports the Hindutva. The father of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar is Damodar Savarkar and his mother’s name is Yashoda Savarkar. Vinayak Damodar Savarkar died on 26th February 1966 in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
A.P.J Abdul Kalam Azad
A.P.J Abdul Kalam Azad was an Indian aerospace scientist, he was born on 15th October 1931in Rameshwaram, Tamilnadu. He is the 11th Prime Minister of India. The full name of A.P.J Abdul Kalam Azad is AVUL PAKIR JAINULABADEEN ABDUL KALAM. He was interested in studies and he chooses Physics and Aerospace Engineering. He completed his education at Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University.

The father of A.P.J Abdul Kalam was Jainulabiddin Marakayar and his mother is Ashiamma Jainulabiddin. He died on 27th July 2015 in Shillong and he died at the age of 83 years.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is the first Law minister who contributes to making the constitution of India. He is famous as the father of our Indian Constitution. B.R. Ambedkar is also known as Babasaheb Ambedkar. The full name of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. He was born on 14th April 1891 Dr. Ambedkar Nagar. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar completes his education at the London School of Economics and Political science which was built in 1895.
The father name of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is Ramji Maloji Sakpal and his mother name is Bhimabai Sakpal. Unfortunately, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar died on 6th December 1956 in Delhi. Ambedkar suffered from diabetes. He was bed-ridden from June to October in 1954 due to medication side-effects and poor eyesight
Jyoti Rao Phule
Jyoti Rao Phule was a social reformer and writer of Maharashtra. She was born on 11th April 1827 in Katgun village, Satara Maharashtra. Jyoti Rao Phule is also known as Mahatma Phule and Jyoti Ba Phule. Jyoti Rao Phule has the main role in education for women and she established the first girls school in the month of August 1848. The father name of Jyoti Rao Phule is Govind Rao Phule and his mother name is Chimana Phule. Jyoti Rao Phule died on 28th November 1890 at Pune Maharashtra.
Dr. Rajendra Prasad
Dr. Rajendra Prasad is served as the first president of India from 26th January 1950 to 13th May 1962. He was born on 3rd December 1884 in Ziradai which is situated in Bihar, India. Dr. Rajendra Prasad contributes to the Independence movement of India and he is the supporter of Mahatma Gandhi which is also known as Bapu. Dr. Rajendra Prasad supports the Dandi March and the Quit India movement against the Britishers.
The father name of Dr. Rajendra Prasad is Mahadev Sahai and his mother’s name is Kamleshwari Devi. Dr. Rajendra Prasad wins Bharat Ratna Award. This award is a National Civilization Award. He completed his education on 28th February 1963 at Patna, Bihar.
Chandra Shekhar Azad
Chandra Shekhar Azad plays the main role in the Independence of India. The real name of Chandra Shekhar Azad is Chandra Shekhar Tiwari. He was born on 23rd July 1906 in Bhavra, Madhya Pradesh (MP). The other names of Chandra Shekhar Azad are Azad Balraj and Panditji. Chandra Shekhar Azad is also known for the recognization of HRA which is known as the Hindustan Social Republican Association and he is also a member of this association.
The father name of Chandra Shekhar Azad is Sitaram Tiwari and his mother is Jagrani Devi. Chandra Shekhar Azad died on 27th February in Chandra Shekhar Azad Park, Prayagraj. He shoots himself with a gun because the British police are fired behind him so, that he shot himself with his last bullet. He doesn’t want to die with a hand of Britishers.
Lala Lajpat Rai
Lala Lajpat Rai is one of the freedom fighters of India. He was also an Indian activist. He was born on 28th January 1865 in Dhudike, Punjab. The occupations of Lala Lajpat Rai are that he is an author and politician and the other names of Lala Lajpat Rai are PUNJAB KESARI and THE LION OF PUNJAB. Lala Lajpat Rai completed his education with the Government College of University, Lahore, Pakistan. The father name of Lala Lajpat Rai is Radha Krishna and the mother of Lala Lajpat Rai is Gulab Devi. Lala Lajpat Rai dies on 17th November 1928 in Lahore, Pakistan. He dies on Lathi Charge of Police.
Sarojini Naidu
Sarojini Naidu is one of the women freedom fighters of India. She was an Indian activist in India. Sarojini Naidu was born on 13th February in Hyderabad, Telangana. She joined a political party of the Indian National Congress. Sarojini Naidu is also known as Nightingale of India because she is an expert in imagination and she covers a variety of themes such as love, death, and separation among others. The father’s name of Sarojini Naidu is Aghorenath Chattopadhyay and her mother’s name is Barada Sundari Devi. On 2 March 1949, Sarojini Naidu died in Lucknow at those time the Lucknow was under the United provinces. She dies because of a cardiac arrest in her government house in Lucknow.
